The Tree of Life Colorado Connection. Kevin Centola grew up to be a fireman. As long as he could remember, he had always wanted to do two things, be a firefighter and to help orphans. In 1997, Kevin was living in El Paso, Texas with his wife Luz. He was working at the firestation, when an old friend called him. Phil Green was in town. Phil had come from Denver, CO with a group of Christians for a mission trip to Juarez, just across the border from El Paso. They were going to visit an orphanage the next day and Phil invited Kevin and Luz to come along. Kevin agreed to come along. What he saw at the Arbol de Vida Childrens' Home sparked an all but forgotten desire to help the less fortunate.

Tree of Life Colorado Connection
Tree of Life, Colorado Connection was founded in 2006 to raise desperately needed funds and provide ongoing support for the Arbol de Vida Childrens Home in Juarez, Mexico.
Our Mission -
We value mentors, teachers and positive roll models so that the children at Arbol de Vida (translates to "Tree of Life" in English) can live in an atmosphere of safety, love and support. We believe in teaching responsibility, morals, and self worth to severely underprivileged children so that when they reach adulthood they are competent, confident and caring individuals who will contribute significantly to the society in which they live.
Our Passion -
To give at-risk kids a chance. To build hope for children in a city where there is very little to hope for. To raise funding for the hiring and staffing of qualified teachers, tutors, mentors, cooks, and other support staff. We see every child as having the potential to make a difference, not only for themselves, but the family and community in which they will live as adults.
